Take Five (Vol. 9): How Can a Man Who's a Criminal Be a Hero To the Kids?

I sat in for one of my fellow DJs on Monday Octobr 27th on CHIRP Radio . Here's the set list from that show [Artist, “Song” from Album (Label)]…

[Chicago band!] Wrekmeister Harmonies, "You've Always Meant So Much to Me" from You've Always Meant So Much to Me (Thrill Jockey)
Horrendous, "Heaven's Deceit" from Ecdysis (Dark Descent)
Godflesh, "Shut Me Down" from A World Lit Only By Fire (Avalanche)
The Sex Pistols, "God Save the Queen" from Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols (Virgin)
O'Death, "Wrong Time" from Out of Hands We Go (Northern Spy)
The Kingston Trio, "Tom Dooley" (Capitol) - This is a great track from the heyday of '60s folk groups. It fits right in with Haloween, too.
[Chicago band!] Tweedy, "World Away" from Sukierae (dBpm) - I'm not a huge Wilco fan, but Jeff Tweedy and his son did a great job with this album
Toto, "Stranger in Town" from Isolation (Columbia) - Some '80s spooky Pop
A Flock of Seagulls, "Nightmares" from Listen (Zomba) - Some more '80s spooky Pop
Moonface, "The Fog" from City Wrecker EP (Jagjaguwar)
The Budos Band, "Burnt Offering" from Burnt Offering (Daptone)
The O'Jays, "Time to Get Down" from Back Stabbers (Philadelphia International)
The Ramones, "Pet Sematary" from Brain Drain (Chrysalis) - I think this might be my favorite Ramones song
Tom Waits, "And the Earth Died Screaming" from Bone Machine (Island) - And yet more spooky '80s music, this time from the Alternative side of things
Southern Death Cult, "Moya" from The Southern Death Cult (Beggars Banquet) - Ian Astbury, the lead singer for The Cult, got his start with this band
Flying Lotus, "Never Catch Me (feat. Kendrick Lamar)" from You're Dead! (Warp) - This is one of my top albums of the year
[Chicago Artist!] Gel Set, "Love on Video" from Voorhees (Moniker) - This is a split EP she did with Gel Set. This might be on my top 10 of 2014 list
Iceage, "The Lord's Favorite" from Plowing Into the Field of Love (Matador)
Alien Sex Fiend, "Now I'm Feeling Zombified" from Now I'm Feeling Zombified (Anagram) - Some more vintage '80s Goth for the halloween season
Laetitia Sadier, "Release from the Centre of Your Heart" from Something Shines (Drag City)
Blood Orange, "Is It All Over My Face + Tower of Meaning" from Master Mix: Red Hot + Arthur Russell (Yep Roc)
Generationals, "Would You Want Me" from Alix (Polyvinyl)
