Repeater: Where Do Weekends Come From?

The public radio program Marketplace did a nice piece today on something I would wager almost all Americans take for granted - the weekend.

The concept of two days at the end of the week devoted to not having to be at your job didn't just come from thin air or generous bosses. It was the result of struggles on the part of religious and labor leaders, and concessions from business titans like Henry Ford.
