Blues Before Sunrise

A few years ago WBEZ, Chicago's largest public radio station, made the fiscally sound and artistically stupid decision to eliminate most of the music programming from its schedule. Among the casualties was Steve Cushing's program "Blues Before Sunrise," a weekly 5-hour journey through the earliest recorded blues tracks available (roughly pre-WWII through the 1970s).

Fortunately WDCB 90.9 FM, broadcasting from Chicago's College of DuPage, picked up the show. I would recommend listening to it during it's broadcast time of Saturday night/Sunday morning from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM, whether you're coming back home from a night on the town or just kicking back for a night of radio listening. And if you have the means, contribute to this fine public radio station.
