100 Word Commentary: Major League Baseball's Cap Problem

Explaining and solving the worlds problems in 100 worlds or less.

Major League Baseball  forbids the New York Mets from wearing caps honoring first responders on anniversary of 9/11 attacks.

Major League Baseball should be ashamed of its decision to forbid Mets players from wearing caps honoring the people who died on 9/11. They should be, but they won't. Shame is a human trait, and corporations (no matter what the Supreme Court says) are not human, and don't feel things like shame, or compassion, or embarrassment.  Episodes like this highlight how the Bottom Line and arbitrary corporate rules serve Capitalism more than the living, breathing people who are supposed to enjoy the benefits of living in a Capitalist society.
