A rare gem of of documentary is showing on PBS - the 1967 Stax/Volt Revue's European Tour. From what I gather it's a fascinating look at an exciting time in American pop music.
In Chicago, music has been de-emphasized by Public Media over the last year (following the decision by WBEZ's General Manager to eliminate most music programming from its schedule). WTTW hasn't given up the faith, though, as offerings like this show.
